Kanye West: Ye, the rapper formerly known as Kanye West, has been suspended from Twitter after sharing a design that combined a swastika with the Star of David hours after he praised Adolf Hitler and the Nazis in an interview.

Ye was one of several high-profile Twitter users whose accounts were banned or restricted on the platform, then had their accounts reinstated after tech billionaire Elon Musk took ownership.

Ye returned to the platform on November 21, having previously been banned for tweeting an anti-Semitic message.

Musk has previously described his approach to content moderation as, “When in doubt, leave the talk alone.”

On Thursday evening, Ye shared an image of the swastika over the star of David, a symbol of Judaism. The tweet was soon deleted. “Always remember this as my last tweet,” Ye wrote, posting an unflattering photo of a semi-naked Musk on a yacht.

“Okay,” Musk replied. “Not that,” she captioned the deleted swastika tweet.

The rapper then began posting on Truth Social, the social media platform founded by former US President Donald Trump, sharing text messages from Musk in which the billionaire appeared to be trying to reason with him about the tweet.

Sorry, but you went too far. This is not love,” Musk wrote.

“Who made you a judge,” Ye replied. He then shared a screenshot of his Twitter account showing that he had been banned from tweeting for 12 hours for breaking the platform’s rules.

Musk has confirmed Yes’s suspension. “I did my best. Despite this, he again violated our rule against inciting violence. Account will be suspended,” she wrote.

Protected behind a face mask, Ye appeared alongside white supremacist Nick Fuentes on InfoWars, a show hosted by far-right conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, in an episode posted online Thursday.

The rapper said, “I see good things in Hitler … Every human being has something of value that he brought to the table, especially Hitler.”

Jones replied, “The Nazis were thugs.”

“But they’ve also done good things,” Ye said. “We have to stop insulting Nazis all the time.”

“Oh my god…just because you don’t like a band doesn’t mean…” Jones said, clearly uncomfortable. Ye interrupted, “I like Jews. But I also like Nazis.

“I don’t think Hitler was a good guy,” Jones later said. Ye replied, “There are many things I like about Hitler. Several things.”

Norm Coleman and Matt Brooks, leaders of the Republican Jewish Coalition, condemned Ye’s remarks, saying, “Given his praise for Hitler, it cannot be overemphasized that Kanye West is a despicable and disgusting fanatic who has attacked the Jewish community with Nazi threats and threats. -style slander. Conservatives who wrongly gave in to Kanye West need to make it clear that he is an outcast. Enough is enough.”

After the interview aired, a Republican-run Twitter account in the US Congress deleted a tweet that appeared to express support for Ye.

Twitter-owner Elon Musk, who calls himself a free speech absolutist, had welcomed the return of the rapper, now referred to as Ye, to the platform in October.

In his latest tweet Kanye West, Musk stated “I tried my first-class. notwithstanding that, he once more violated our rule towards incitement to violence. Account could be suspended.”

Twitter additionally restricted one in all Ye’s tweets. His account changed into suspended inside an hour after Musk responded to a Twitter user, who stated “Elon restoration Kanye Please.”

Twitter did not right now respond to a request for remark.

Twitter had restored the account of the rapper, earlier than the finishing touch of the social media platform’s $forty four billion takeover via Musk. however, he later clarified that he had no function in bringing Ye returned on Twitter.
