Mahindra Scorpio , Thar
Mahindra, a major SUV manufacturer in India, has seen exceptional demand in recent months. Customers have shown a great deal of interest in their models, including the Scorpio-N, Scorpio Classic, XUV300 Turbosport, Thar, and XUV700. The company is still struggling with the shortage of semi-conductor supplies, which has had a negative impact on production and consequently extended wait times.
The Scorpio N has the longest waiting list of any Mahindra vehicle and now has a total of 30 variants available. These new variants, which range in price from Rs 12 point 49 lakh to Rs 16 point 94 lakh (ex-showroom), include the Z2 Petrol (E), Z2 Diesel (E), Z4 Petrol (E), Z4 Diesel (E), and Z4 Diesel (E) AWD. 56,677 units were sold by Mahindra in total during the month of December 2022.
In the past month, a total of 28,445 PVs—including 28,233 utility vehicles and 112 vans—were sold, representing a 60.5% YoY increase over the 17,722 units sold in December 2021. There were 3,100 units exported. Mahindra sold 20,080 units in the CV market in December 2022. From 17,469 units sold in December 2021 to 28,233 units sold in the most recent month, UV sales in the PV segment increased by 62 percent YoY.

While total passenger vehicle sales increased 61 percent YoY and 72 percent on a YTD basis to 2,56,858 units, car and van sales fell 56% to 112 units last month from 253 units sold in the same month last year.
Sales of 3 wheelers increased by 104% to 5,052 units from 2,480 units sold in December 2021 in the commercial vehicle segment, while growth in the 3.5 T segment increased by 51% year over year to 879 units. Each of these categories also included YTD growth. Mahindra’s exports increased by 3% YoY to 3,100 units in December 2022 from 3,017 units sold in December 2021, and by 4% YTD to 24,733 units from 23,671 units sold in the same period of 2021.

Mahindra CY 2022 Sales The total number of units sold in CY 2022 was 3,32,984, which represents a 65.09 percent increase over the 2,01,693 units sold in CY 2021. Except for January, when sales decreased 3 point 11 percent to 19,860 units from 20,498 units sold in January 2021.
all of last year’s months saw increases in sales. Sales grew in February and March 2022, resulting in higher Q1 and Q2 sales of 74,809 and 75,459 units, respectively, up 42 and 44 and 77 points, respectively. Over the 95,091 units sold in H1 2021, H1 2022 sales increased by 58.03 percent to 1,50,268 units.
