dry cough: A dry cough is the most dreadful symptom one can have in winter. Just to let you know that coughing is our body’s defense reflex, keeping our airways free of irritating or obstructing substances so that we can breathe efficiently. However, a cough is not always dangerous.

Sometimes it can be in a milder form due to other causes. It is also known as an unproductive cough because this type of cough does not produce phlegm or phlegm. Here are some home remedies for a dry cough:

Ginger

Hot water, clear broths, and herbal teas can provide immediate relief from dry cough, sore throat, and chills and last longer after the hot drink is finished. Staying warm and hydrated is crucial for people with a cough or a cold.

Mint leaves
Mint leaves contain menthol, which helps numb the nerves in your throat, which can reduce recurrent bouts of dry cough. It also helps to clear throat congestion. We can add 3-5 peppermint leaves to our tea and boil it for a few minutes before drinking it.

Turmeric
Turmeric is a blessing for people with coughs. Turmeric is commonly found in every home and is full of antiviral, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. This magical spice is also used to prepare Ayurvedic medicines to treat respiratory problems. Try adding some turmeric to warm milk to help ease a cough.
