TVS Ronin
TVS Ronin , TVS Motor Company has in recent years been synonymous with some of the most iconic motorcycles the Indian public has ever seen. Whether it’s the Warhorse Apache series or the classic Victor series, each has its own uniqueness and has been immensely applauded by automotive experts.
But with the Ronin, TVS thought of trying something it had never dared to do before, and people weren’t expecting the bike maker to do that either. Yes, we are talking here about TVS’s penetration into the cruiser motorcycle segment, which for many years was dominated by brands like Royal Enfield, Jawa and Bajaj.
TVS Ronin is the brand’s first attempt at the cruiser segment of motorcycles and succeeds in more ways than one. While many of you here will argue that the Ronin doesn’t particularly fit into the hardcore segment due to certain jamming elements, TVS’ effort is nonetheless a valiant one. We had the bike with us for a few days and here are our findings:
TVS Ronin Theme
TVS Ronin is not a jammer par excellence; Instead, the style seems to be an amalgamation of multiple bikes. In particular, it struck me that the designers of TVS took a lot of inspiration from old-school retro bikes.
The front is dominated by the round headlight with AHO function, which is flanked by the T-shaped LED daytime running lights. The inclusion of gold colored USD front forks is a welcome move, as they also complement the headlight design . The turn signals are sleek and house LED units.
The bike rolls on machined 9-spoke alloy wheels, while other styling touches include black-tinted engine cases, a huge front sump and a black exhaust pipe with a silver tip. The rear shines with a cluster of LED taillights. One notable thing here is that TVS has installed LED lighting everywhere, be it the headlight, be it the turn signals and be it the taillights.
